In this essay, I discuss some of the chronic health problems that come from suboptimal diagnosis and treatment of hypothyroidism, as well as the need for more research on the effects of stress, childhood immunizations, and various chemicals on thyroid function in newborn and unborn babies. In all of this, individuality matters.
