Oprah Winfrey and I don’t have much in common but we were born on the same day in 1954—and share a lifelong fight with fat. This week, we both turned 71.
In this episode, I get personal about the battle Oprah and I have waged trying to maintain a normal weight, and suggest why fat- and sugar-laden foods are so addictive. I discuss some of the down-sides of drugs like Ozempic that aren’t often mentioned and address the fact that while obesity has been rising markedly over the last few decades, so have anxiety and depression, especially amongst children.
